I moved to Bellingham with my wife and our daughter in 2004.  I had come here a number of times in my past to climb in the Cascades and enjoy this beautiful environment, part and parcel why we moved here.  We like to spend time together outdoors, hiking, climbing, and camping, as well as the typical things families do like seeing movies and walking around downtown.  We are all avid readers and we try hard not to be so busy that we don't spend quality time together.

Gresham Design is the culmination of over 25 years in the Green Industry.  From my early beginnings as a landscape laborer to the transition to pipe fitter and irrigation technician, I have always enjoyed the kinship I feel with the natural world that surrounds us.  During my stewardship of 600 acres of turf,  ornamental plants, ponds, and fountains at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks, I learned what is necessary to work within a large and multi-faceted organization.  As one of the original Los Angeles County reclaimed water supervisors, I became a mentor, teacher, and trainer, acquiring numerous certifications as time passed.  In 1994 I started a business that we grew to a point large enough to support some 10 different people.  A decade later we were designing and building some of the more significant water features being constructed in Southeastern Michigan at the time.

I design by freehand and AutoCAD.  The former allows me nonconformity while the latter provides a language of precision.  In my transition to watershape designer and contractor, I've had the pleasure of seeing many of my designs through to reality.  From the smallest fountain in a church prayer garden, to a serene backyard water garden, to the power of a 1500GPM water feature, I've learned that each watershape is different and holds its own set of challenges.  I embrace the opportunity to continue this natural progression and welcome the challenges that your watershape vision represents.
